Our dispatching process

How our truck dispatching process works

No mystery about what we are doing with your truck. Here is the whole process.

01

Tell us about your truck and operation — equipment, authority, where you are based and the lanes you want.

What you keep

You stay the carrier. We are staff, not a middleman.

This is the distinction that matters most, and the one most often blurred.

A freight broker takes the load, marks it up and hands you what is left. A dispatch service works the other side of the table: we represent your truck, the load is booked under your MC, and the broker or shipper pays you directly. Your authority, your insurance, your customer relationships and your money stay yours.

In practice that means you see every rate before it is accepted. We will tell you when we think a number is the best available on a lane this week, and you are free to disagree and wait. There is no forced dispatch and no penalty for turning a load down.

It also means we do not touch your settlement. Brokers pay you or your factoring company on their terms. We invoice you separately for dispatching, so there is never a question about where the money went.

A working week

What the process looks like once you are running

The four steps above describe one load. This is the rhythm across a week.

01
We plan ahead, not load by load
We are looking at your next load while you are still running the current one, so you know where you are going before you deliver. A truck that finds out at the receiver is already half a day behind.
02
Where a load leaves you counts as much as what it pays
A strong rate into a market with nothing outbound is a worse week than two ordinary loads back to back. We plan for the reload.
03
You approve, we book
Rate, lane, broker, appointment times and any accessorials go to you before anything is confirmed. Once you say yes we take the rate confirmation and set up the appointments.
04
We chase what you should not have to
Check calls, lumper receipts, detention claims, TONU and the invoice packet in the format your factor wants. If you sit at a dock, tell us when the clock starts and we document and bill it.
05
We tell you when a lane has gone soft
Markets move. If the freight you prefer is not paying this month we will say so and suggest where it is, rather than quietly running you cheap to keep the truck busy.
